Felted Tweed offers an exciting alternative to the traditional DK weights. Soft Merino wool (50%) is blended with Alpaca (25%). Viscose/rayon (25%) is added to complete the softness with strength. This yarn knits to a DK weight but has the length of a 4 ply. The wonderful new qualities of the Felted Tweed can be best appreciated in the final knitted piece, which carries a flat and cloth–like definition while maintaining its knitted character. The contrasting nebs sharpen the natural shades.
